In 2003, Arabian Company for Transportation Services was founded. The company served the mining and the transportation sectors in Egypt for years. Considering the environmental impact of industries being served, the company shifted its activities in 2012 to sustainable recovery of waste all over the country. In 2012, the company started the green waste management business. Collecting and shredding green waste has become the company main activity; the green waste collected from fruit orchards were recovered and turned into green energy (biomass). In 2016, another step has been taken forward. The company launched the waste mineral oil recovery business. It also chose Suez, Egypt to be the center for this business; the company erected a state-of-the-art waste mineral oil re refinery. In the facility, a zero-waste re-refining operation is executed. Waste mineral oil gets turned into base oils, diesel, and asphalt. From 2020, 100% of base oil produced is being exported to countries where they can reduce the use of virgin base oils.
